Zendaya Shares a Thrilling Teaser from New HBO Series Euphoria

It’s official! HBO has picked up a brand new teen drama starring none other than Zendaya and honestly, it sounds like the next Degrassi. Why? Well, first of all, it’s being produced by Drake, so that’s already giving us MAJOR Degrassi vibes. Not to mention it’s a drama that takes place in a high school setting where students navigate through life and high school, all while learning about themselves. Sound familiar?

After filming the pilot for the show Euphoria, HBO has decided to pick it up for a 10 episode series! The show is a high school drama based on the 2012 Israeli series by the same name. It follows a group of high school students as they navigate sex, drugs, trauma, identity, social media, love and friendship. See what we meant about how it could be the next Degrassi?

It is said that Zendaya will be playing the role of a student named Rue who is apparently a lying, 17-year-old girl who is addicted to drugs. But, Z isn’t the only actress on the cast. The Spider-Man: Homecoming star is starring alongside Maude Apatow, Brian “Astro” Bradley, Eric Dane and Sydney Sweeney on the show.

No word yet on when Euphoria is set to air, but Zendaya along with Executive Producer Drizzy Drake have been teasing fans with little bits and pieces from the show to get them hyped.

The actress posted a GIF teaser of the show on her Instagram:

While Drake tweeted out the same gif with a different message.

A gif isn’t much, but we’re still pretty excited for this show. Soooo, can y’all give us a little more than just a 3-second GIF? We need more!
