11 Popular YouTube Stars Who Tragically Had a Miscarriage
Finding out you’re pregnant is an extremely emotional and personal experience, but usually those emotions are kept relatively private, because most of us don’t have millions of subscribers on YouTube. When a YouTuber finds out she’s expecting a baby, however, there’s not only the anxiety that comes with such a big life change, but also the knowledge that SO many people are aware of what’s happening within their family.
This particularly becomes a problem when the Internet celebrity doesn’t end up carrying the child to term, but instead miscarries. And since they usually have already announced to the world that they were going to have a baby, many of them feel obliged to report the tragic update. Unfortunately, when we did some research, we discovered that many YouTube stars have experienced this heartbreak firsthand, sometimes more than once. The announcement videos that are usually made in the aftermath are extremely difficult to film and equally as hard to watch. We can only imagine how tough it must be to share such sad news with hundreds of thousands (and, in some cases, millions) of strangers. And yet, at the same time, it must be comforting to know that so many people care.
Channon Rose and her husband, Travis Dean, for example, recently thought they had a miscarriage, but later found out it was an ectopic pregnancy. While their medical situation was a quite a bit different than most, they found solace in their followers’ kind words and prayers.
The following is a list of 11 YouTube stars who got pregnant, miscarried, and posted videos about it to reveal the news. We’re warning you now — the stories are pretty sad. But, luckily, many of the tales have happy endings and the people who lost one baby were eventually able to have a healthy child.
