17 of the Biggest, Most Dramatic YouTuber Feuds of of the Past Year
If you’ve managed to keep up with all the YouTube drama this year, we give you props! Staying on top of all the diss tracks and subtweets is basically a full-time job, requiring a TON of time, energy and dedication. It seems like new videos keep coming out on our fave channels before we can even finish the last ones, not to mention the fact that allies and enemies keep swapping sides. That’s why being a loyal subscriber is plain old exhausting — but we wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Still, as much as we love keeping up on YT news, some of it breaks our hearts. In the past 12 months alone, so many YouTubers have either called it quits with their significant others, or on their channels — or both! Things are changing quicker than Bella Thorne’s hairstyles, and that’s saying something.
Why is so much going down? We’re thinking it might have a little something to do with Vine’s demise back in January. Yeah, Instagram stories picked up some of the slack, but a lot of our beloved Viners turned to YouTube to produce more content. We aren’t complaining, but we do wish there was more time in the day to catch up on every RiceGum diss track and Savage Squad update that’s showed up since.
Feel the same way? We have some good news for you. We’ve rounded up every YouTuber feud that went down this year, but before you go in, we should warn you — if it seemed like Jake and Logan Paul were in the middle of a lot of drama in 2017, even with each other, they ABSOLUTELY were. You’ll never believe how many times the brothers show up on this list — or who else makes an appearance.
Jake Paul vs. Alissa Violet
This time last year things between Jake and Alissa were just fine — or at least that's how it appeared from the outside. But after the blonde beauty was kicked out of the Team 10 house, cheating rumors surfaced on both ends. We were all glued to the Twitter feud for awhile, but the rivalry seemed to be dying down when they both moved on with other people (Alissa with FaZe Banks and Jake with Erika Costell). It looked like they may never forgive, but they'd at least forget. Right?
Wrong! When JP's assistant accused Banks of assaulting her, AV freaked the eff out. The 21-year-old outed her ex in a YouTube video that detailed his physically (and emotionally) abusive behavior in the past. This included spitting at her and pushing her hard enough to leave scars.
If all that's true, maybe that explains why she hasn't been able to let go of her anger towards him. In the past year, she collaborated with RiceGum on a diss track and came this close to kissing Jake's bro in another video to really hit him where it hurts.
