Musicians Who Should (And Shouldn’t) Duet Again

By  |

Do you know how long it’s been since the infamous collaboration of Brandy and Monica for “The Boy Is Mine?” FOURTEEN freakin’ years! But just when we were about to give up all hope of a reunion (actually, we’d never really thought about it), the two R&B singers confirmed that they’ve recorded another duet! Now this is an announcement we def support. Then it got us thinking, what if all musicians-who-once-worked-together joined forces again? Would this be a good idea? Some yes, some not so much. See what we mean…

Britney Spears & Madonna
“Me Against the Music” was hot nearly 10 years ago. We just want you to think about what Brit’s been through since then and how old Mads is getting… It just wouldn’t be hot anymore.

Miley Cyrus & Billy Ray Cyrus
We get that Miley’s basc the only reason Billy Ray even has a career right now. We just think the whole “Daddy’s little girl” bit is shot to hell at this point.

Beyonce & Jay-Z
We actually wanna see another Bey-Z duet. B still works it and Jay’s still smooth with his lyrics, but we wanna know what they’d sing about nowadays. Babyonce Blue Ivy, maybe?

Mariah Carey & Snoop Dogg
For some reason, when Mariah works with Snoop, she tends to not wear any clothing in her music videos. (Remember “Say Somethin’?”) And we just don’t think we’re ready for that post-twins and stuff.

Demi Lovato & Kelly Clarkson
This collab’s probably gonna happen again — and we’re all for it! Let’s just hope that if a profesh recording actually occurs, Demi and Kelly won’t try to outdo each other’s runs like they did at Jingle Ball.

What’s the worst duet you’ve ever heard? Who would you love to see collab again? (We’re holding out for Demi & Selena!) Let the comments commence!
