The Top 5 Absolute Worst Kissing Moments in Harry Potter Movie History
We’ve seen some uncomfortable kisses unfold on movie screens in our heyday. Jacob & Bella’s smooch in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse felt forced, Kathryn & Cecile’s spit-swap in Cruel Intentions was literally that — a spit-swap… But we can’t say that too many bad kissing moments go down within one franchise.
…though, Harry Potter has at least a handful.
Don’t lie to yourself — you KNOW you cringed while watching Harry & Cho’s first (& only) kiss, Harry & Ginny’s first kiss, Harry & Ginny’s second kiss… You get the idea. To prove to you just how awful they were, here are the top five worst kissing moments in Harry Potter movie history:
Harry & Cho in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
"Wet. She was sort of... crying." Those are the words Harry, himself, chose to describe his kiss with his crush, Cho Chang, in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Hermione is sure, though, that "Harry's kissing is more than satisfactory" — but Cho has a lot of emotions to sort through. "Well, obviously she's feeling sad about Cedric, and therefore confused about liking Harry and guilty about kissing him. Conflicted because Umbridge is threatening to sack her mother from her job at the Ministry and frightened of failing her O.W.L.'s because she's so busy worrying about everything else."
With all of that going through her mind, it explains why the kiss was so lackluster.
