What the World Would Be Like if Harry Potter Never Existed
In case you haven't heard the glorious news, J.K. Rowling is working on a Harry Potter prequel! (Though, there is a major downside…) So, of course all of the HP feels have been on overdrive for the past few weeks. This got us to thinking how different our lives would be had the seven-book franchise never come into existence. Sans Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe may've never experienced colossal amounts of fame, thereby ridding us of his pure talent.
Along the same lines, Emma Watson would've grown up to be… well, we don't know what.
Magic would be seen as some silly little element in kiddie films rather than bad-ass, most likely portrayed at children's birthday parties and the like.
There'd be no fictional teachers who tell it like it is in the most perfect ways possible.
Our idea of suitable pets would be a little more limited.
A life never knowing of Dumbledore's wisdom? Madness, sheer madness.
And what would the biggest teen film series be? The Avengers? The Twilight Saga? Love 'em, but no — Harry Potter is #1!

Furthermore, Harry Potter's what made us enjoy books when we were kids. Without it, recreational reading would've been… different. Not necessarily non-existent, but definitely different.
Finally, you'd have to say goodbye to imagination as you know it now.
