Wilmer Valderrama Visits Demi Lovato in Hospital After Alleged Overdose

Wilmer Valderrama was “completely devastated” to hear the news of Demi Lovato‘s alleged drug overdose and, as you can probably imagine, wants to do everything in his power to support his ex-girlfriend through this difficult time. The 38-year-old was spotted entering Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, on Wednesday, July 25, the day after she was rushed there for treatment.

E! News obtained pictures of the NCIS actor arriving around 3 p.m. local time and seemed “very down” during his visit, which lasted about two hours.

“He was somber and quiet and you could tell he was in a very serious mood,” a source says. “He arrived and left by himself.”

The 25-year-old’s mother and younger sister have been by her side since she was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon, but Wilmer is seemingly the first celebrity to visit.

“He knew she was going through a tough time but he wasn’t prepared for this,” a source tells PEOPLE of his reaction to the reported overdose. “He saw her through so many ups and downs and was her rock through some of her darkest moments. To see her back in such a sad and vulnerable place is heartbreaking for him.”

The That ’70s Show alum was asked on about DL’s relapse, which she admitted to in her song, “Sober,” last month.

“I respect her and I love her so much,” he said. “That is something that is so personal and very hard to understand.”

Demi needs as much love and support as she can get right now and it’s beautiful to see those who love her running to be by her side.
