Here’s Why Khloe Kardashian Waited So Long to Reveal Her Pregnancy
Rumors that Khloe Kardashian and boyfriend Tristan Thompson were expecting their first baby started swirling in September 2017, just days after the story broke that Kylie Jenner was also pregnant. Speculation went on for-eh-ver, but the 33-year-old reality star finally decided to confirm her pregnancy about two months later when she was six months along. So, why the delay?
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star explained on Lorraine, “Honestly, at first it’s not safe to say anything and the doctor was like, ‘I would just want to wait, for you.’ So I was listening to doctor’s orders.”
“And then people just become so obsessed,” she continued, “And I’m like, ‘Trust me, you guys are all going to know eventually — I’m just waiting until it’s the right time.”
KoKo said she was nervous to announce her pregnancy, but feels a weight off her shoulders now that the news is out there.
“It feels good to announce and now be in tight clothes and feel like it doesn’t matter anymore,” she explained. “I just had these nerves, and having everyone’s positive and loving support, it’s so great, of course. I know the journey they’ve been along with me, but then you really remember everything like, ‘Okay, wow, they feel so invested.’ But I feel so honored that they’re this invested with me.”
“My greatest dream realized,” she wrote on Instagram when she announced the pregnancy. “We are having a baby! I had been waiting and wondering but God had a plan all along. He knew what He was doing. I simply had to trust in Him and be patient. I still at times can’t believe that our love created life!”
