The Emotional Reason Why Demi Lovato Agreed to Go Back to Rehab

By  |

Demi Lovato has reportedly agreed to enter a rehab facility as soon as she is released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the hospital in Los Angeles where she has been recovering from an alleged drug overdose for over a week. While the singer’s family and friends were pushing for her to get help immediately following the hospitalization, it reportedly took her a while to officially make the decision. What the choice came down to, according to reports, will warm your heart immensely.

A source tells E! News that the 25-year-old is choosing to go back to rehab because “she wants to make a statement to her fans, family and friends that she is strong and can recover.”

“Demi knows she needs help,” the insider adds. “Her family has told her that this is the time to be a good example to her fans.”

The source continues, “Demi’s turned the corner and is doing much better. She will be released in the next few days and the plan is for her to go to rehab. She is starting to grasp the severity of what happened and that she almost died.”

“She is scared and grateful to be alive,” the person close to her explains. “Her family hasn’t left her side and have consulted with several people to figure out what the best plan of action is. Everyone wants her to take it very seriously and she seems to be.”

Demi found success in rehab once before and we know she can do the same this time around. Stay strong!
