So Far, Zac Efron’s We Are Your Friends Looks Super Confusing

By  |

We love all things Zac Efron. Come on, what’s NOT to love? He’s funny, he’s talented, he’s got smooth moves, plus look at that bod face. Rawr. So it pains us a little bit to say that, so far, his upcoming movie, We Are Your Friends, looks super confusing.

The first-look video of the film, co-starring Shiloh Fernandez, Emily Ratajkowski, Alex Shaffer and Jonny Weston, is narrated by its writer/director, Max Joseph; you may or may not know him from Catfish: The TV Show. He talks all about how he co-wrote this movie about electronic music. However, he doesn’t clearly state the plot, which focuses on a young DJ as he works on what he hopes will be his first hit track, so color us confused.

Maybe you could make sense of it all, though. We Are Your Friends is supposed to hit theaters sometime in 2015, but feel free to watch the first-look footage above, then tell us your thoughts!
