‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Movie Trailer

By  |

Get ready to break out the pizza — the first trailer for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie is here! Since the world seems to be reverting back to the 90’s these days, it would totally make sense to reboot this franchise, and this one is getting the Michael Bay treatment. This upcoming movie is not only produced by him, but he’s recruited Megan Fox to star as reporter April O’Neil.

Also, using live-action/CGI hybrids, they’re bringing on real actors to play the actual Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In fact Catching Fire star Alan Ritchson is playing Raphael, Breaking Dawn‘s Noel Fisher is playing Michelangelo, character actor Jeremy Howard is playing Donatello, and newcomer Pete Ploszek is taking on the role of Leonardo.

There’s also been a bit of controversy surrounding this particular reboot, as it’s rumored the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will have an alien origin this time around, which is not very true to the original story. As you could imagine, it caused quite the uproar in the TMNT fan community.

Not many details are revealed in this trailer, but it looks like it’ll be action-packed, that’s for sure. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles also stars Will Arnett and William Fichtner (who is playing The Shredder), and hits theaters on August 8. Will you be checking it out? Sound off in the comments section!
