Shailene Woodley Talks ‘The Spectacular Now’ on ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’ (VIDEO)
While promoting her new coming-of-age film, The Spectacular Now, in which she plays love interest to her Divergent nemesis, Miles Teller, she talks about her life in public high school, saying that her choir room buddies were her saviors. When prompted as to the closeness of her personal situation and the likes of musical-dramedy Glee, she laughs, "I think Glee is a slightly exaggerated version of something that could maybe exist in an artist's mind."
As for her inevitable rise to superstardom a la Jennifer Lawrence's after The Hunger Games, she says she knows she won't become jaded or arrogant if/when that occurs: "Lucky for me, I have enough friends who would make me black and blue before I became an a******… And they have full permission to [take me down]. Anyone has full permission to — if I become an a******." She then jokes, "I totally just dug a hole, didn't I?"
Seriously, love her more and more every time we see her. For more, including details about The Spectacular Now and Divergent, watch Shailene's Daily Show interview above!
