Opposing Team Helps Disabled Basketball Player Score During Game

By  |

This is the true meaning of sportsmanship! Recently, a disabled Texas teen named Mitchell Marcus was the star of a basketball game thanks to a basket he made — with the help of the opposing team. Mitchell has always loved basketball, but due to a disability, can’t exactly play. However, he does serve as the team manager, which lead the coach to allow him to suit up and play in a game against rival team Franklin High School.

Things weren’t going so well, but then as the game was about to end a player from Franklin called out to Mitchell (even though Franklin had possession) , passed him the ball, where Mitchell easily sank the ball in the hoop, where the crowd went absolutely wild! The Franklin high basketball player said he thought Mitchell “deserved” another chance to try to make a shot.
