Trailer + Exclusive Stills from Me and Earl and the Dying Girl
When it comes to most YA movies, there’s usually a time between films when fans anxiously await the follow-up flick. Like, right now, we’re in between The Maze Runner & The Scorch Trials, Mockingjay — Part 1 & Mockingjay — Part 2 and Insurgent and Allegiant — Part 1. The interim sucks, but at least there’s something to look forward to, you know? However, with The Fault in Our Stars, there is no waiting game; it’s just… over. Fortunately for you, we’ve found the perfect alternative for your TFiOS-loving souls.
Although John Green‘s epic tale of two cancer-stricken teens turned lovesick soulmates is finished, Jesse Andrews‘ book, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, has yet to tell its story on the big screen. But that’s about to change come June 12.
In this movie, teenage filmmaker Greg Gaines, played by Beautiful Creatures‘ Thomas Mann, befriends a classmate, played by Bates Motel‘s Olivia Cooke, after he learns she’s been diagnosed with leukemia. Along with his pal, Earl, portrayed by RJ Cyler, he creates a film for his ailing new friend. And what happens is nothing short of beautiful.
