Your Ultimate Guide to Confidence, by Game of Thrones‘ Resident Bad-Ass, Maisie Williams

“You throw like a girl.” “You run like a girl.” “You scream like a girl.” While all of these terms may seem like “well, duh” sort of phrases, they’re usually meant to insult. The “like a girl” ending has been used many a time to imply weakness and vulnerability. Well… not anymore.

Courtesy of the Always #LikeAGirl Unstoppable video, and Game of Thrones‘ resident bad-ass, Maisie Williams, “like a girl” is getting the recognition it deserves: EMPOWERMENT. Watch the video above and see!

But, wait, there’s more — the 18-year-old actress and activist also has some helpful tips so you can feel unstoppable like a girl, too. She tells us to surround yourselves with others who make you feel good about yourself, “Find a group of people who make you feel happy. It’s actually quite healthy to have a group of people where I cannot see them for a couple of weeks, but that’s okay, I’ll go back and see them in a couple of weeks and it will be fine. And I met a lovely boy who is really, really nice to me. And I feel a lot happier now, and I feel like I found who I am. Now that I’m comfortable with myself, I feel like I’m ready to help other people find that person too.”

Another piece of advice: accept change. She says, “You don’t have to decide who you are and stay that way. I can change again if I want to. Changing isn’t necessarily a bad thing.”
