Hilary Duff’s “All About You” is the Catchy Track You’ve Been Expecting

By  |

Hilary Duff‘s “Chasing the Sun” was a major throwback to her Lizzie McGuire days. Not to say that’s a good or bad thing, it just wasn’t what we were expecting from what was supposed to be her comeback single, you know? Something a bit more… grown up. Fortunately, her follow-up track, “All About You,” is more along the lines of what we’re going for.

In the new tune, which was first teased at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards this past weekend, the 26-year-old former Disney Channel star sings along to a twangy, almost pop/country beat reminiscent of The Lumineers’ “Ho Hey.” Listen above, get the lyrics below, then tell us your thoughts in the comments!

[Verse 1]
You could be my dirty secret (I could be yours)
We could only be a rumor (Never be sure)
You could meet me in the backseat (Late night)
A ticket up in first class (Mile high)

[Pre-Chorus]
Cause hey baby, baby you got me so, so good
Hey baby, baby, I got it so, so bad

[Chorus]
Think you’re all about me? But I’m all about you
Turn the lights down, let me show you its true
Get a little taste of what I’m into
Think you’re all about me? But I’m all about you, you

[Verse 2]
I don’t want to keep a secret (Let the combo)
This is more than just a little thing (Baby fo’ sho’)
I can’t wait until the next time (We meet)
Gotta kiss you in the daylight (Out on the beach)

[Pre-Chorus] + [Chorus]

[Bridge]
Midnight eyes, oh you came as a surprise
You were right on time
Think you’re all about me? But I’m all about you (hey, oooh)
Think you’re all about me? But I’m all about you (hey, oooh)
Think you’re all about me? But I’m all about you

[Chorus]
