The New Cinderella Will Be Everything a True Disney Fan Could Hope For

By  |

Disney fans, prepare to be dazzled. Although we were crushed to learn that Emma Watson would NOT be taking part in the live-action Cinderella film, thus proving her all-around perfection, we’re happy to announce that the upcoming movie looks beyond magical even without her presence.

In the first-ever U.S. trailer for the flick, Downton Abbey‘s Lily James holds her own as the heroine up against a wicked Cate Blanchett. And, as you should very well know, Harry Potter‘s Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange) and Kenneth Branagh (Gilderoy Lockhart) will portray Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother and the director of the movie, respectively. Like we said, it’s all quite magical.

Despite all the bad lessons you could learn from the classic tale, we’re excited to see it come to life on the big screen again. Cinderella hits theaters on March 13, 2015. Until then, watch the trailer above!
