Bay Bridge Lights Art Installation

The San Francisco Bay Bridge just went from regular old bridge, to a stunning art installation! The project titled, The Bay Lights, was funded by private donations,  as it costs about $4.25 an hour to operate the LED lights that are now wrapped around the bridge. While it won’t last forever, the lights will shine over the bay for the next two years.

The grand lighting ceremony took place on Wednesday, and residents seem to be thrilled with the beautiful lights. Also, this light show has the distinct honor of being the “World’s Largest Light Sculpture.” Watch the video above to see the lights in motion!
