Cuban taekwondo Champ suspended for life after kicking a Swedish referee Funny: That's just hilarious, but I'm sure the ref isn't laughing!
Description: After being disqualified by the ref, Cuban champion Angel Valodia Matos kicked the ref in the head! The IOC has suspended both he and Matos' coach FOR LIFE after the incident, which stemmed from the ref's disqualification call after he stated Matos took more than a minute during rounds, grounds for immediate disqualification. Matos, a 31-year-old Cuban, was declared the loser of his 80-kilogram (176-pound) bout because he took more than the allowed one minute of injury time. The 2000 gold medalist then went after Swedish referee Chakir Chelbat, first pushing him and then delivering a kick to Chelbat's face.
