Weltmeisterin Espinoza war gegen die Norwegerin Nina Solheim mit 3:1 Punkten erfolgreich. Der Weltverband begründete seine Entscheidung zur lebenslangen Sperre in einer Erklärung: ""Das ist eine starkes Vergehen am Geist des Taekwondo und der Olympischen Spiele."
