WATCH: Graham Rogers & Liana Liberato in 1 Mile to You “I’m Here” Clip
When you think of the best romantic-yet-tear-jerking books-turned-movies, the ones that usually come to mind are A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, The Fault in Our Stars, Me Before You, and so on and so forth. Well, ladies and gentlemen, we may’ve found the next one: 1 Mile to You.
Based on Jeremy Jackson‘s 2002 novel, Life at These Speeds, 1 Mile to You focuses on a teenager named Kevin (Graham Rogers), who loses his girlfriend (Stefanie Scott in an accident. According to the adaptation’s synopsis, “he finds that running keeps him connected to her during his ‘runner’s high’ moments. Chasing her memory drives him to run faster, and to win for his new coach (Billy Crudup). Before long, however, his newfound notoriety attracts the attention of a whip-smart new girl (Liana Liberato), who is determined to find out what’s really going on inside him. Soon, he finds himself caught between keeping the past alive and making new memories in the present.”
The flick will be on demand starting April 7, but you can watch an exclusive clip of Graham (Struck by Lightning) and Liana (If I Stay, The Best of Me) above!
Speaking of Liana Liberato, here are 17 fun things we learned from our chat with the actress:
What drew you to your character in The Best of Me?
L: “It was something I had never done before. I mean, I did If I Stay, and she’s a bit more quirky but she has the same kind of vibrant vibe to her, and that was something I had never done before. So getting to play Amanda was just so cool. It was really challenging and that drew me to it because I was like, ‘I have no idea if I’m even capable of doing this!’"Photo: Relativity Media
