It’s no secret that, after the third season concludes, Victorious will no longer be airing new episodesVictoria Justice told Teen Vogue about the shocking news, and Ariana Grande, Liz Gillies, Avan Jogia and more shared their (positive) opinions on the final episodes. Yet each time Vic opens up about the demise of the Nickelodeon show, we can’t help but ache just a little. Case in point, her interview with Girls’ Life magazine…

She admits, “I saw a missed call from Leon [Thomas], then a text from Daniella [Monet] saying, ‘See ya, Victorious.’ I thought it was just an inside joke.” But when she found out it was real, she exclaims, “It threw me for a loop. We were a hit show. Before I knew it, ‘Don’t Cancel Victorious’ was trending [on Twitter]. I think [the fans] were as shocked about the decision as I was. You don’t expect it to be canceled out of the blue.”
