With only a few more days ’til filming of Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters is officially underway — remember, they said production would start in May — it’s about time that the final pieces of the casting puzzle come to the forefront. And, let us tell you, they will certainly not disappoint…

For starters, Sarah Hyland is now a part of the roster! The Modern Family actress reveals, “So happy I can FINALLY say that I’ll be playing Natalie in Vampire Academy! So thrilled to be a part of such an insane production!” Natalie is one of heroine Rose’s kind-of best friends and Lissa’s kind-of cousin, who is somewhat of a social outcast.

The 22-year-old star adds after the announcement, “A big thank you to all the fans for welcoming me into the VA family!!! You couldn’t be more supportive 🙂 #blessed”

Along with Sarah comes the news of her on-screen father, Victor. According to Hypable, “Victor was once on his way to be a ruler of the Moroi until he comes down with a terminal disease.” He will be played by actor Gabriel Byrne.

Rounding out the cast are Dominic Sherwood, who will play Christian, a Moroi who’s Lissa’s main love interest, and Joely Richardson, who will portray Queen Tatiana, the current leader of the Moroi. They will be joining leads Zoey Deutch (Rose), Lucy Fry (Lissa) and Danila Kozlovski (Dimitri), as well as Olga Kurylenko (Headmistress Kirova), Cameron Monaghan (Mason), Sami Gayle (Mia), Ashley Charles (Jesse) and Claire Foy (Sonya).

Filming for Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters will begin in London the week of May 27 and is currently scheduled to hit theaters on Valentine’s Day 2014. Tell us if it’s on your must-see list!
