Now that the news of Divergent movie casting has died down, it’s time to make way for buzz about another book-turned-film, Vampire Academy. Ever since we heard that the first novel in Richelle Mead‘s series was greenlit for the big screen, we’ve been on the edge of our seats, anticipating further details. At the time, Beautiful CreaturesZoey Deutch was already attached to the project as lead Rose, as well as lesser-known talents Lucy Fry (Lissa) and Danila Kozlovsky (Dimitri). As of today, the franchise has found its disciplinarian…

According to Deadline, Olga Kurylenko will play Ellen Kirova, Headmistress of St. Vladimir’s Academy. You may recognize the Ukrainian-born actress from the 2008 Bond film, Quantum of Solace, or this month’s Oblivion with Tom Cruise. Her character’s described as tall and slim (and a “vulture” according to Rose).

Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters is currently scheduled to hit theaters on Valentine’s Day 2014. Are you already a fanatic? What do you think of Olga as Kirova? Tell us in the comments!
