TV Show & Movie Characters Who Pull the (Former) Demi & Ashton

By  |

If you‘ve been living under a rock are unsure of the term “cougar,” it is usually used to describe a woman who is attracted to younger guys. Demi Moore made it popular a couple years back when she (shockingly!) married Ashton Kutcher — he’s over 15 years younger than her! Obviously, it didn’t work out for them two. But it seems to bode quite well in our favorite movies and on the best TV shows. Most recently, Zac Efron & Michelle Pfeiffer‘s characters in New Year’s Eve suffer from what we like to call, The Cougar Effect. (Yes, they kiss in the flick. Sorry if we spoiled it.)

So to kinda gag commend all the ladies who are into younger guys, and the dudes who have a thing for older women, take a peek at the five ultimate cougar-prey TV & movie couples.

Zac Efron & Michelle Pfeiffer, New Year’s Eve
Like we just said, Zac and Mich get their smooch on in NYE.
And he even said it made his year!
Older Woman Younger Man Relationships

Mark Salling & Idina Menzel, Glee
We’ve known about Puck’s love for older women since the first season. But going after your teacher/the adoptive mother of your child has ‘ICK’ written all over it.

Lucy Hale & Ian Harding, Pretty Little Liars
An example of a Reverse-Cougar Effect is a teacher-student relationship we’re totally on board with: Ezria. HOT!

Robert Pattinson & Reese Witherspoon, Water for Elephants
We still find it awk that Reese played RPattz’ mother in Vanity Fair, then became his older/married lover in WFE, but c’est la vie.

Chace Crawford & Elizabeth Hurley, Gossip Girl
Somewhere along the way, Nate ditched youngin’s like Serena & Queen B and became attracted to cougars like Diana Payne. Well… at least it’s a step up from Jenny Humphrey.

WDYT about cougar couples — ick or totally okay? Did we leave any of your faves out? We hear the comments already!
