Openly Gay YouTuber Helps Fan Come Out as Bisexual in Front of Thousands
No matter how much fame he finds in mainstream Hollywood, Troye Sivan always stays connected with his fans. In what was perhaps his most intimate moment with one of his supporters, the 20-year-old singer actually helped a young girl come out to her mom. We’re not crying; YOU’RE crying.
The “Youth” crooner was performing in Washington DC last night when a teen named Kelly threw a note on stage for the YouTuber to read out loud to the thousands of attendees. As Troye picked up the note and realized what it said, he paused and questioned, “are you sure?” Kelly confirmed that she wanted him to be the one to reveal the information to mother, who was also at the concert, and he began to speak into the microphone.
“If you are reading this, can you announce that Kelly is bisexual, please?”
The crowd immediately began to scream in support and Troye, who came out as gay back in 2013 and has since been an active member of the LGBTQ community, walked over to the fan and sweetly shook her hand and blew a kiss in support. After the show ended, Kelly was finally able to see her mom for the first time since the YT star made her announcement. Their interaction was caught on camera, and let us warn you: you most likely will cry.
