One of the Cutest Scenes in To All the Boys… was Actually Unscripted!

Since the release of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before on Netflix last week, hearts have been fluttering and obsessing over Noah Centineo, who plays the jock with a heart of gold, Peter Kavinsky, in the film. And if you thought were were head over heels for Noah before, just wait, because we just found out that he’s even MORE like Peter IRL than we thought!

You’ll recall that in the scene where Peter watches Sixteen Candles with Lara Jean and Kitty, he and his fake girlfriend’s little sister get into a pillow fight. At one point, Peter moves the popcorn on the ground to get it out of the “fight zone.” Well, it turns out, that quick yet very thoughtful move was completely improvised by Noah! TV reporter Reid Nakamura took to Twitter to share this fun fact with the world, which Netflix confirmed — and, naturally, Noah’s fans totally lost it!

One user tweeted, “@noahcent you are a Peter Kavinsky.” Another tweeted, “We love a man that cares about messes, an environmental king!” and another tweeted, “Knew there was a reason we loved him. Thinking about how mad I would be the popcorn spilled on my couch.” Girl, same.

Whether you fell in love with him as Jesus on The Fosters or in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Noah’s face will be back on our screens in January as he joins The Fosters spinoff Good Trouble! And if that’s not soon enough, Noah’s also starring in two more movies that are scheduled to release this year! The first is another Netflix rom-com called Sierra Burgess is a Loser and the second is the upcoming film The Stand In.

In the meantime, we’ll be watching To All the Boys I’ve Love Before on repeat.
