At least 26 people are dead after a gunman walked into the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, Texas on Sunday morning and started firing. This deadly shooting comes just 35 days after the massacre at a music festival in Las Vegas that left 58 dead. Stars took to Twitter to express their sadness and outrage over this Texas shooting and to call for an end to the senseless violence.

Lady Gaga tweeted, “Prayers for #SanAntonio and all the families who are suffering the loss of loved ones. I’ll pray also for #GunControl.”

Britney Spears also shared her sadness on Twitter, saying, “My heart breaks over the news coming out of Texas. My prayers are with the Sutherland Springs community.”

Josh Groban also expressed his complete shock, writing, “Just nothing. No words. Numb. Again. May everyone affected in Texas rest in and find peace.”

President Donald Trump sent words from his trip overseas, tweeting, “May God be w/ the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas. The FBI & law enforcement are on the scene. I am monitoring the situation from Japan.”

Meanwhile, comedian Chelsea Handler blamed the President’s political party for the violence writing, “Innocent people go to church on Sunday to honor their God, and while doing so, get shot in killed. What country? America. Why? Republicans.”

If you’re feeling a sense of deja vu here, you’re not alone. This unfathomable gun brutality in America needs to stop. We here at Clevver would like to send our sincerest thoughts and heartfelt wishes to the victims and their families.
