Taylor Swift’s Rep Clears Up the Trashed Fan Mail Confusion
On Tuesday, it seems the only thing the Internet wanted to talk about was the fact that a bunch of unread Taylor Swift fan mail was found in a dumpster in Nashville, Tennessee OMG HOW COULD TAYLOR DO THAT TO HER FANS?! OMG I CAN’T BELIEVE SHE WOULD JUST GET RID OF ALL THAT FAN MAIL! That’s just a taste of the devestation that was sweeping her fandom, however, the 23-year-old singer’s rep decided to clear up the confusion.
Was the mail in the trash because Taylor doesn’t care about her fans? Of course not! US Weekly got a statement from Taylor’s rep that said, “A small batch of mail that was supposed to be delivered to Taylor was accidentally put with letters headed for the recycling center.” Glad we cleared that up!
Apparently, the trashed mail was found by Kaylee Francescan, who lives in Nashville. She was taking out the trash when she discovered the large pile of unopened fan mail addressed to none other than Miss Taylor. A local news station spoke with Kaylee, where she said, “There were like hundreds of letters in there to Taylor Swift and I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh!’ I didn’t know if they were stolen [or] discarded, so I threw them in a box. And I’m like, ‘Somebody needs to let Taylor know,’ It did bother me [because] I know how much her fans mean to her.”
We knew Taylor wouldn’t just go dumping her fan mail. She’s too nice for that!
