Swifties, We Went to Taylor’s Concert!
Okay Swifties, don't be jealous but we got the opportunity to go to Taylor Swift's concert in Los Angeles last night! Taylor has about a month left on the North American leg of her Red Tour and this week she has four shows at the Staples Center in LA. We caught her on Night Two and she was nothing short of amazing!
With a screaming sold-out crowd, Taylor kicked off the show with "State of Grace" and followed it up with two other popular songs off her Red album, "Holy Ground" and "Red." We have to say, girl really knows how to put on a show. The backdrops, wardrobe changes, and set designs made us feel like we were at a Broadway show rather than a concert. The production is larger than life but somehow Taylor has a way of making the crowd feel an intimate connection with her. When shes addresses the crowd she is so excited, admiring everyone's dance moves and posters. Let's just say she made us want to be her BFF!
The best part of the concert came during Taylor's performance of "22" when she suddenly jumped in the crowd. We then saw her being carried by bodyguards to a smaller stage in the back of the venue, so she could be closer to the fans who were further away from the main stage! So sweet! Fans near this smaller stage got a close up of Taylor singing "Fifteen" and "Begin Again." Then Taylor surprised everyone and brought her opening act Ed Sheeran back up to sing their duet "Everything Has Changed." They were great together!
After heading back to the main stage Taylor had yet another surprise up her sleeve, a special guest performance! Tegan and Sara come out and sang their song "Closer" which got the crowd jumping and cheering along! Check out this video of their performance!
Then to close out the night Taylor performed more of her smash hits like "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "Love Story." The final song, and perfect ending performance, was "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." Everyone was on their feet screaming the words and never wanting it to end. Then sadly, the song did end and Taylor was gone, leaving the crowd wanting more! But hey, there's still two more shows in Los Angeles on August 23 or 24! Are any of you going to her shows?
Also, we have to give a big shout out to Keds for giving us such an awesome concert experience last night! We had such an amazing time and we loved looking around and seeing tons of fans wearing red Keds! Take a look at their excellent shoe collection on their website!
