One of Taylor Swift’s Stalkers Found Guilty, Sentenced to Jail
The good news? One of Taylor Swift‘s stalkers has been found guilty and is going to jail. The bad news? He’s just one of many the singer has been forced to take legal action against.
Mohammed Jaffar was arrested and charged with burglary, stalking and trespassing in March 2017 after he broke into the “Delicate” singer’s NYC apartment building, hoping to meet her. He was taken into custody and held on $20,000 bail.
The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office tells E! News that the man pleaded guilty to attempted burglary in the second degree last week and was sentenced to six months behind bars yesterday. He will also be on probation for five years where he’ll have to undergo mental health treatment in Michigan.
The 28-year-old is currently busy on her Reputation Stadium Tour, which is probably a good distraction from the scary things that have been happening around her lately. Less than a month ago, a man named Roger Alvarado climbed through a broken window and entered her NYC apartment. When cops arrived, they found him sleeping in her bed and discovered that he also used her shower.
The 22-year-old Florida resident was arrested on charges of stalking, burglary, criminal mischief and trespassing, but his punishment has not yet been determined.
