Taylor Swift Announces 6th Studio Album Reputation… and a Single, Too!
UPDATE: Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” single is here!
It’s happening, you guys! Taylor Swift‘s been taunting by deleting everything from her social media pages and then uploading creepy videos to them, but she FINALLY gave us the information we’ve been waiting to hear! The 27-year-old singer’s sixth studio album, titled Reputation, is being released on November 10, and the first single from it comes out TOMORROW, August 24. #TS6 is coming…finally.
We don’t know what the new song is called, but, according to a source who spoke to Us Weekly, it is “poppy.”
Another source told the magazine that the blonde beauty is “overhauling her image” with the release of this tune.
“The single is very different. It goes from very soft, to hard, to soft again.”
A third insider added, “It doesn’t sound like anything she’s done before. It’s a little unusual. She plays around with new sounds each album cycle, but this one in particular stands out.”
There are rumors that the crooner will make a surprise appearance at this Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, perhaps to end her feud with Katy Perry with a performance, or perhaps to debut the single’s music video, which the source describes as “eye-catching.”
Tay’s last album, 1989, which was released way back in October 2014, won TONS of awards for being a step outside of her usual box.
We have no idea what her new single is going to sound like, or be about, but if the teaser vids of snakes are any indication, it’s going to be a KILLER track that fires back at everyone who came after her character following the Kanye West “Famous” drama last year.
