6 Squad Members You Didn’t Know Taylor Swift Met Through Social Media
Forget online dating — we’re living in the age of online friendship. And when it comes to tech-love, there’s perhaps no better example out there than Taylor Swift‘s own girl squad. In fact, many of the pals who made cameos in the 26-year-old singer’s “Bad Blood” music video were the result of Internet connections.
Befriending fellow celebs through technology isn’t something most people would expect from one of the world’s biggest stars, but for Tay, who’s all about using social media to connect with her fans, Internet fangirling isn’t anything out of the ordinary. And the same goes for all six of these celebs who joined the universe’s best example of #squadgoals, thanks to the power of a little thing called technology:
Talk about good timing! Gigi actually tweeted the first picture of her and Taylor together before the two even met! After Tay photobombed a pic of the supermodel and their mutual friend, Karlie Kloss, at a 2014 Vanity Fair Oscar party, Gigi tweeted, "Photobombs this good must be shared (hi @taylorswift13)."
By that January, the two seemed like old pals in a picture of them hanging out with Karlie, fellow supermodel Martha Hunt and stylist Ashley Avignone. Thank goodness Taylor and Gigi didn't seem to be hung up on the fact that both call Joe Jonas an ex-BF or else we might never have gotten to meet Gigi's "Bad Blood" character, Slay-Z!
