Taylor Swift Tapped to Open the 2018 American Music Awards with…
The 2018 American Music Awards are just a week away and the show’s performance lineup just got a little better. So if you’re still searching for a good reason to tune in to music’s biggest televised party of the year, well, look no further.
On Tuesday morning, Taylor Swift made a HUGE announcement about the upcoming AMAs on Good Morning America. In a pre-recorded video, the singer revealed that she’s kicking off the show with one of her usual high production performances and Tay had none other than her adorable little fur baby Meredith by her side.
While the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer is SUPER excited to kick off the award show, Meredith, however, was totally unfazed by Tay’s announcement.
Meredith may not be excited for Taylor’s upcoming performance but we can think of, oh millions of Swifties who definitely are.
On top of that exciting performance announcement, Taylor also made sure to let her fans know what exactly she’ll be singing that night. In an Instagram post for those who may have missed the initial announcement on GMA, Taylor posted the video to her own page and revealed in the caption, “I’m opening up the American Music Awards with a performance of “I Did Something Bad.” Meredith is not excited, but I am.”
Taylor is the latest superstar to be added to the growing list of performers. Other performers for the night include Cardi B with Bad Bunny and J Balvin, Halsey, Khalid, Post Malone and so many more talented artists.
The American Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on October 9th on ABC.
