All the Cast Scandals That’ll Make You Forget The Suite Life Was a Kids’ Show
Man, those Disney Channel stars sure love their scandals. While some of the most talked about events include Demi Lovato‘s stint in rehab, Lindsay Lohan‘s DUI and Vanessa Hudgens‘ underage nudes, you’ll be shocked to learn that the cast of The Suite Life (of Zack & Cody or on Deck) has had its fair share, too. The proof:
1. Dylan Sprouse’s Nude Picture Leak — Months before the infamous celebrity naked photo leak of 2014, one half of the Sprouse twins found himself in the middle of his own nude snapshot scandal; one of the pics in question displayed his most private area. He joked, “Whoops, guess I’m not 14 and fat anymore.”
Soon after, though, he added, “I messed up… but I’d be a fool not to own up to it. Got to move past it I suppose.”
2. Brenda Song’s Fake Pregnancy — Brenda Song and Miley Cyrus‘ older brother, Trace Cyrus, have one of the most WTF on-again-off-again relationships in Hollywood history.
In May 2015, she wrote a long caption on Instagram that said, “I usually never speak of my personal life, but I’d like to clear up some rumors. A few years ago there were rumors that I was pregnant… I just want to say that those rumors were not true. They were just lies and fabrications. I apologize for not clearing this up sooner and for the continual damage that these lies have caused @TraceCyrus. We may no longer be together, but I hope he can forgive me and I wish him nothing but the best.”
The kicker, according to Trace himself: “Yes, they were lies THAT U MADE UP and told me, my entire family and all our friends.”
What’s even crazier is that Trace actually got back together with her the following month.
3. Debby Ryan’s Abusive Relationship — Like Rihanna and Sarah Hyland, the redheaded beauty suffered at the hands of her significant other. She spoke out for the first time last year, saying, “I got to a point of being grabbed, being locked out of rooms, being screamed at, having things thrown at me, cussed at, begged for forgiveness, cried to, all while trying to keep it together and justifying this relationship.”
Thankfully, she’s out of that particular relationship, and now speaks on behalf of Mary Kay’s Don’t Look Away initiative to end domestic violence.
4. Phill Lewis’ Manslaughter — In the most shocking news of ’em all, the man who brought Marion Moseby to life on the small screen accidentally killed someone in real life.
In 1991, before the Sprouse twins were even born, he was arrested for crashing his car into 21-year-old Isabel Duarte, who later died from her injuries. Two years later, he was charged and convicted of manslaughter and drunk driving.
