A Stranger Things Maze is Coming to Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights!
NOTE: The Upside Down is temporarily moving from Hawkins, Indiana… to scare the crap out of Hollywood, Orlando and Singapore!
Universal Studios‘ Halloween Horror Nights has brought us all kinds of terrifying, pop culture-themed mazes over the years, from ones inspired by American Horror Story to The Walking Dead and pretty much every horror property in between. Later this year, the great S of U is bringing fans what is already one of the most highly anticipated attractions yet: a maze inspired by Stranger Things, Season 1!
In a press release, Universal Studios explained that the upcoming Stranger Things maze will “bring the chittering, predatory Demogorgon to Halloween Horror Nights to stalk unwitting guests as they encounter iconic scenes, characters and environments from the mesmerizing series.”
You had us at Demogorgon.
And just in case that doesn’t sound legit enough, Stranger Things creators Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, along with the producer Shawn Levy, are collaborating with the Horror Nights design team to make sure the scenes and characters featured in the maze are all as authentic as possible. The maze will include everything “from the menacing Hawkins National Laboratory under the U.S. Department of Energy to the Byers home adorned with an erratic display of flashing Christmas lights and the eerie Upside Down woods oozing a shower of floating orb-like spores.”
Hmmm… we wonder if we’ll run into dead Barb in the Upside Down woods. #JusticeForBarb
Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights begins Friday, September 14th, in Hollywood and Orlando, and on Friday, September 28th, in Singapore. See you there, fam!
