Season 2 of Stranger Things will be here sooner than you realize. Halloween 2017, get at us! Still, there’s a little less than half a year to go. So, to keep you occupied, we could think of nothing better than to look at the casting secrets surrounding Netflix’s sleeper hit series.
While promoting the 2017 edition of Power Rangers, Dacre Montgomery (a.k.a. Jason/the Red Ranger) revealed that he auditioned for the second season of Stranger Things… in a thong! “I got in like a G-string and danced naked to ’80s music with this leather jacket and crazy glasses,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. Clearly, the casting directors liked what they saw… ’cause got the gig!

Originally, Finn Wolfhard was unable to play Mike.
The 14-year-old star of Stranger Things was reportedly always the #1 choice to play Mike Wheeler, the leader of the young pack of friends. However, originally, he was unable to take on the part due to his prior commitments to the It remake, in theaters this September.
Thankfully, production delays caused filming for the horror flick to be pushed back a year — so Finn was available to star in both projects!
