Stephanie Leigh Schlund Set to Play Cashmere in ‘The Hunger Games’ Sequel, ‘Catching Fire’
It wouldn’t be a normal day here at Teen.com unless we gave you some more Catching Fire casting news, right? So, because we’re awesome and love to keep you in the loop, we have another cast member to reveal. It was just announced that Stephanie Leigh Schlund will play the role of Cashmere in The Hunger Games’ sequel this fall.
Stephanie actually got her start in acting during a trip to Los Angeles when she was cast as a model for the show, The Price is Right. From there, she began to dabble in commercials, television and, of course, film. Think Stephanie looks familiar but can’t seem to put your finger on where you’ve seen her? Well, she is most known for her role as Will Blakelee’s sister, Megan, in The Last Song. Yep, as in, she played Liam Hemsworth’s sister. Hm, are you getting a little bit of deja vu right now? ‘Cause we sure are. Liam and Stephanie in yet another film together…how cutttte.
It seems like Stephanie has gotten playing the role of sisters down pretty well, because, as most THG fans know, Cashmere is Gloss’ sister, and it just so happens that the two siblings both get chosen to participate in the Quarter Quell. Talk about bad luck, huh?
And, not to be the bearers of bad news, but the role of Finnick still hasn’t been cast. This is just getting annoying now, right, guys? Hellllllo, Lionsgate, this is an essential piece of knowledge! Pleaaaaseeee tell us.
