Pregnant YouTuber Tragically Killed After Being Run Over by 18-Wheeler Truck
Our hearts are aching this morning, as the YouTube community is mourning the loss of one of its own. Sophie Emma Rose, a woman who was 6-months pregnant and known for making breastfeeding videos on her Sophie’s Joy channel, was killed earlier this week in a tragic vehicle accident.
The 41-year-old and her boyfriend, Danny Glass, got into a scooter accident in Phucket, Thailand, that led to her and her unborn baby’s death. According to the 29-year-old, he was driving the pair down a busy road when the car in front of them braked suddenly, causing him to lose control of the scooter. The crash itself wasn’t bad, but when Danny (who walked away with minor injuries) turned around to tell his girlfriend to get up and get out of the road, he saw that she had been run over by an 18-wheeler truck.
“I miss her so much… Somebody wake me up from this nightmare. I can’t believe it’s even happening. She’s meant to be having my baby in three months. […] She meant the world to me and I meant the world to her. The person I feel sorry for the most is her little boy, Shaye, who is 5 years old, and I had to explain to him that his mum was dead and that she isn’t coming back.”
We cannot even imagine what Sophie’s family and friends are going through right now. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of them at this incredibly heartbreaking time.
