Men? Women? Doesn’t Matter, This Pretty Little Liars Star’s Open to Dating BOTH
There’s long been talk about Shay Mitchell‘s sexual orientation. Is she into men or women? The 29-year-old brunette beauty has been playing a lesbian character on TV for 6 years, so the public’s curiosity has been ablaze since 2010. Her usual response, though: “It doesn’t matter.”
While her go-to statement remains true, the Pretty Little Liars actress, who plays LGBTQ role model Emily Fields on the hit ABC Family-turned-Freeform series, she changed up her conventional quote, and offered a bit more insight into her sexuality:
As the latest cover girl for Cosmopolitan magazine, in which she promotes her new movie, Mother’s Day, she revealed, “When I started, people were like, ‘What are you?’ I’m like, right now I’m dating a guy. I don’t know what it’s going to be in three years. You love who you love. Black, white, polka-dot, that’s what my dad always said.”
“I’m never going to label myself,” she continued. “I could be 50 and dating a woman and then what? I said I was straight and now I’m not?'”
So, there it is, everyone — the news you’ve all been dying to know: Shay Mitchell is open to the idea of dating men AND women.
Of course, there’s never been any evidence to the contrary. When Shay covered the February 2015 issue of Maxim, she admitted that she’s totally down with making out with members of the same sex. “People ask what it’s like kissing a woman,” she said. “As if there’s something awkward or weird about it. I completely embrace it. When I step into Emily’s shoes, I’m truly in the moment, and I’m fully attracted to the women I’m fooling around with.”
Hollywood is making great strides in the LGBTQ community — 12 beautiful female celebrities even came out within the past year!
Miley has always been very touch-and-go when it comes to her sexual identity. But in August 2015, she got real about her sexuality during an interview with Elle UK for its October issue.
She spilled, "I'm very open about it — I'm pansexual… I'm 22, I'm going on dates, but I change my style every two weeks, let alone who I'm with."
