Shailene Woodley Defends Miley Cyrus in the July 2014 Issue of Vanity Fair Magazine

It's been pretty tough for most people to defend Miley Cyrus lately, especially after some of the stunts she's pulled. But for one actress, defending MiCy isn't an issue at all. In the July 2014 issue of Vanity Fair magazine, Shailene Woodley came to the support of her fellow young Hollywood star, saying what she does really isn't so bad. She said:

“Miley isn’t rude or mean or cruel to anyone in her actions. She just does herself. And regardless of whether you agree with what she’s doing or not, it’s none of your business what she does. She’s not in the world doing mean things."

Shai continued by addressing the parents of children who consider Miley's actions offensive.

"Why are all these parents or all these people freaking out about Miley being herself? If you don’t want your kids to watch it, you know, you can change that situation at home, but don’t make a big deal of what she’s doing. Make a big deal about the bullies at school who are beating kids up.”

Shailene is one of the sweetest girls in Hollywood, so we're not all that surprised that she was quick to defend Miley. Are YOU surprised? Tell us if you agree in the comments below!

And now it's time for Miley to be the one defending someone…
