Wow, Things Just Took a MAJOR Turn After Shailene Woodley’s Arrest
Well, we certainly didn’t see this coming. Following Shailene Woodley‘s shocking arrest in October — in which she was taken in for criminal trespassing during a peaceful protest against the Dakota Access Pipeline in Sioux County, North Dakota — the 25-year-old Divergent actress quickly pleaded not guilty after she was charged with one count of misdemeanor criminal trespass and one count of misdemeanor engaging in a riot. But, things just took a MAJOR turn — she’s now pleading guilty to another crime surrounding the matter!
According to TMZ, the Secret Life of the American Teenager alum is reportedly tapped to plead guilty to one count of disorderly conduct. As a result, she will be sentenced with one year deferred imposition and has to agree to one year of probation — it’ll be unsupervised probation, but it’s probation all the same.
Shailene was among over 100 protesters, 27 of whom were arrested for refusing to leave the ND site. Despite her arrest, she continued to urge people to fight against President Donald Trump‘s decision to advance the controversial project in January of this year.
