Sexy Shrek Brows — Yes, You Read That Right — Are Here & They’re Disturbing

By  |

Just when you thought the bizarre eyebrow trends couldn’t get any more strange, the Internet managed to come through with the most outrageous brows we’ve ever seen — Sexy Shrek brows.

We know what you’re thinking: there’s absolutely NOTHING sexy about the green animated character. And while we totally understand where you’re coming from, there’s apparently an entire community of people on the web who disagree. That’s right! Sexy Shrek fan fiction exists and it appears to have inspired these wacky, yet glamorous Shrek brows. Take a look:

As crazy as they are, even we have to admit that they’re pretty darn creative. So, who’s behind this disturbing creation? Her name is Audrey Addams and she’s an Australia-based makeup artist that CLEARLY has an amazing sense of humor.

The MUA told Teen Vogue all about her inspo for the brows saying, “Shrek has been a running joke in my group of friends for a few years now and I do really love both the movies and the memes. It’s gotten to the point where even my birthday party was Shrek themed and we all went to see Shrek the Musical together.” LOL!

As it turns out, this wasn’t the first time Audrey experimented with Shrek-inspired makeup. She also told the mag that she started trying looks similar to this a while ago and that “they’ve become progressively more and more ridiculous.” TBH, we’re just glad to see that all of her hard work is finally getting the attention it deserves, even if people are confused AF.

Since posting the images of the brows on Twitter this past Monday, the tweet has garnered more than 9,000 retweets and over 31,000 likes. The kind people of the Internet are also flooding her mentions with compliments, confusion, and everything in between.

Obviously, people have A LOT of thoughts on this ~unusual~ look and it’s only a matter of time until it blows up even more.

If, for some reason, you do feel compelled to try this look out for yourself, Audrey provided further details to Teen Vogue regarding the products she used. Apparently all it took was the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, some Ben Nye Creme Color in green, black and white, and Sugarpill Pressed Eyeshadows in Acidberry, Midori, Candy Crush and Tako.

Honestly, we wish there was more to say about this look, but to be 100% real with you, we’re kinda speechless. And although we probably won’t be trying out Sexy Shrek ourselves, we WILL be on the lookout for more Shrek-inspired makeup from Audrey in the future. WOW.
