Selena Gomez is doing her part to show support for Malala Yousafzai, the 14-year-old Pakistan girl who was critically injured after trying to take a stand when she was banned from school simply for being a girl. On October 9, the Taliban attempted to assassinate Malala and she has since remained in critical condition, but earlier this week, was airlifted to a hospital in England.

So last week the pop singer took to Facebook — where she has 34 million “likes” — and changed her profile pic to a photo of Malala that quotes her saying, “All I want is an education. And I’m afraid of no one.”

Along with the photo, Selena posted the message, “Please honor Malala Yousafzai by spreading her message of children’s right to an education,” along with a link to the UNICEF website, an organization that Selena frequently works with.
