Relax, Guys — There’s Nothing But Love Between Selena Gomez & Demi Lovato

All of that talk of bad blood between Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez can end, like, now. Why? Well, Demi’s mom addressed those feuding rumors that have been surrounding Delena for quite some time and she says they’re all untrue.

In Dianna De La Garza‘s new memoir, Falling with Wings: A Mother’s Story, the singer’s mom shut down all the gossip and revealed that the former Barney co-stars still have nothing but love for each other to this very day. People mag got the scoop straight from the source. Demi’s mom reminisced about the past when the two would spend a TON of time together. “Selena spent a lot of time at our house when she was growing up,” the 55-year-old dished. “At one time, I was home-schooling my girls and her mom was working, so she would come over and home-school with my girls, and it was some of the best times of our lives. She was like a sister to my girls!”

The author went on to say, “[Selena] and Demi were auditioning for the same things because they were the same age, they were both Hispanic, they both had dark hair — so she ended up going to a lot of auditions with us, they started out together! We had some great times together. They will always will love each other. There’s nothing that will ever come between them.”

The book is expected to tackle a ton of the family’s personal story, including some of the “Tell Me You Love Me” singer’s personal struggles. Dianna told People that she really wanted to share their story because others out there in the world might be able to relate and know that they aren’t alone.

And of course, Dianna definitely has her daughter’s blessing because the star actually wrote the foreword for the book and she told the outlet just how proud she is of her mother. “I’m so proud of my mom for achieving something she’s always wanted to do — tell her story,” Demi said. “She’s resilient, inspiring and strong. Because of her journey and strength to overcome the obstacles that she’s faced in her life, she is my hero.” Well said, Demi!
