Scooter Braun Denies Recent Racism Claims Against Justin Bieber

Yesterday, Justin Bieber was sued by Tobias Cannon, the man he got into a fight with in Cleveland, Ohio, after Game 3 of the 2016 NBA Finals. According to the lawsuit, which was obtained by TMZ, Justin and his crew did enough physical damage to leave him with a concussion that required hospitalization. The “Friends” singer also allegedly used “racial epithets” during the brawl. Longtime manager Scooter Braun, however, denies these racism claims entirely.

The 36-year-old admits that The Biebs “has done a lot of stupid things in his past,” but says he did not use racial slurs during the 2016 brawl.

“This most recent claim against him is completely false and a fabrication from a man who tried to push for money for the last several years,” he tweeted yesterday. “It is disgusting to me to see this man lie and try to bring race into a situation to scare us into a payment again. He never said these things before because they never happened.”

Scooter claims Canon made up the racism portion of the story as “a smear tactic to get money.”
