These 8 YA Books Are Scary Enough to Give You Legit Nightmares
Have you ever read a book that was so spooky, it made you feel like you were in the middle of a horror flick? Well, we have. And we’ve got to admit, we even spent our fair share of nights keeping the lights on because we got so paranoid and creeped out by them. But considering how terrifying these stories are, you can’t really blame us. So far, we’ve already checked out YA thrillers like Asylum by Madeleine Roux and Need by Joelle Charbonneau, and while they were pretty good, they also made us afraid to fall asleep at night. Like, seriously.
But if you think we’re kidding, then just check out these eight YA horror stories and thrillers that will definitely give you nightmares. (FYI, if you scare easily, you probably shouldn’t read any of these at night!)
Asylum by Madeleine Roux
16-year-old Dan Crawford is excited to turn a new leaf and start his summer program at New Hampshire College Prep. But when he actually gets there, he finds out that his dormitory used to be an asylum for the criminally insane. He decides to explore the mysterious place and uncover secrets from the past with his two new friends, Jordan and Abby. But soon they discover that the three of them didn't end up in that dorm by accident.
