Gigi Hadid’s Stepsisters Aren’t Convinced of Her Mother’s Life-Threatening Illness
More fuel’s been added to the fire between Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ David Foster and Yolanda
Foster Hadid as David’s daughters, Sara & Erin Foster, are coming to their father’s defense at the expense of Gigi, Bella & Anwar Hadid‘s mother.
During an interview with Jenny McCarthy on her SiriusXM show, Dirty, Sexy, Funny, the Barely Famous stars supported their dad’s divorce from his wife of 4 years, even though she’s battling Lyme disease. They also took aim at their ex-stepmother and her struggles (or lack thereof) with the infectious illness. “It’s not for us to comment on, only she knows her journey,” Sara said. “But what I will say is, if you’re capable of continuing to be on a reality show, you’re not dying — let’s be honest. I know sick people. I’ve been to Children’s Hospital. I’ve seen children who are f*cking dying, so it’s not easy for me.”
Erin echoed her older sister’s remarks, saying, “No one wants everyone to know how sick they are and everyone to see how much they are struggling. And when that seems to be the focus, of making sure everyone sees how sick you are, that’s just confusing to someone that is trying to be supportive.”
Of course, this isn’t the first time people questioned Yolanda’s actions. Remember, her own co-stars from RHOBH also expressed their disbelief over the 52-year-old star’s Instagram posts on the topic. And now that Yolanda penned an entire book about her life with the illness, Believe Me: My Battle with the Invisible Disability of Lyme Disease, to be released next year, we’re sure this isn’t the last we’ve heard about people’s skepticism.
Sadly, Yolanda Foster’s not the only celebrity battling Lyme disease. All these stars suffer from it:
Many people are aware that Yolanda Foster, Bella's mom, has Lyme disease, but the 51-year-old former model isn't the only member of the Hadid family with the condition. Yolanda confirmed at the Global Lyme Alliance Gala in NYC on October 8, 2015, that her youngest son and daughter also suffer from the disease.
"[God] changed my destiny when my two youngest children, Bella and Anwar, were diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease in early 2012. Watching my babies struggle in silence in order to support me and my journey struck the deepest chord of hopelessness inside of me, and it’s because of them that I’m motivated to stand here in front of you today."
