Sam Smith Confirms He’s Dating 13 Reasons Why‘s Brandon Flynn
Although Sam Smith and Brandon Flynn were spotted kissing in NYC at the beginning of the month, no one really knew if they were dating or not. Sure, it seemed likely, but you never know — maybe they are just friends who smooch occasionally! The relationship rumors have now been confirmed, however, by the “Too Good at Goodbyes” singer himself.
The 25-year-old crooner appeared on The Ellen Show today to promote his new album, The Thrill of it All, when he was questioned about his current relationship status.
“You’re not single right now anymore, right?” host Ellen DeGeneres questioned.
Sam replied, “No I’m not, which is crazy. It’s weird bringing out an album and not being single, because when I brought out In the Lonely Hour it was SO lonely.”
SS explained that most of the songs on his upcoming record are about a different guy who he dated before Brandon, and so it’s pretty strange to sing about being heartbroken when he’s currently “quite happy.”

Sam recently opened up to The Sunday Times about his gender identity and said he doesn’t feel like a cisgender man.
“I don’t know what the title would be, but I feel just as much woman as I am man,” he explained.
He continued, “People don’t know this, but when I was 17, I remember becoming obsessed with Boy George and Marilyn [Monroe], and all that. There was one moment in my life where I didn’t own a piece of male clothing, really. I would wear full makeup every day in school, eyelashes, leggings with Dr. Martens and huge fur coats, for 2.5 years.”
Here’s what 13 Reasons Why stars want to see happen on season two:
Dylan as Clay Jensen certainly went through a lot of emotions when listening to Hannah's suicide cassettes. One of Dylan's hope for Season 2 is, understandably, for the strength of his own character.
"I would like to know that Clay is healthy and away from his anxiety issues, but I think if Clay were to fully separate from his anxiety that would be a little surprising because I don't think it's just easy to get rid of," Dylan told TVGuide.com.
