Rowan Blanchard is an icon. At the ripe young age of 14, the Girl Meets World actress has become a feminist queen, speaking on behalf of women everywhere in multiple lengthy essays. She once penned, “‘White feminism‘ forgets all about intersectional feminism. The way a black woman experiences sexism and inequality is different from the way a white woman experiences sexism and inequality. Likewise with trans-women and Hispanic women. While white women are making 78 cents to the dollar, Native American women are making 65 cents, black women are making 64 cents and Hispanic women are making 54 cents.” Like we said, QUEEN.

So when she had the chance to express herself even further, by delving into her personal orientation, she didn’t shy away from the conversation. She acknowledged on Twitter (NOTE: Updated for grammar), “In my life, [I’ve] only ever liked boys. However, I personally don’t want to label myself as straight, gay or whatever, so I’m not gonna give myself labels to stick with — just existing” with a smiley face emoticon.

When asked to further elaborate, she wrote, “Yes, open to liking any gender in future, [which] is why I identify as queer.”

Fans have since expressed their support, calling for an update on her hit Disney Channel show, suggesting that her character, Riley, come out as bisexual. Rowan’s response:
